Philip Davies lives on the Gower Peninsula to the west of Swansea, where he was born and educated. He studied at Swansea College of Art and University College Cardiff.
In 1992, after a career in graphic design, he became self employed, earning his living jointly from dealing in early pictures, picture restoration
and painting using subject matter taken usually from Wales and Ireland, where he lived for four years.
Since 1995 his paintings have been selected for exhibition by the Royal Watercolour Society, Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Society of Marine Artists, and the Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin. One man exhibitions have been held in Wales and Ireland, where he is a member of the Watercolour Society of Ireland.
His work can be viewed at his Gallery and studio which are situated at the western edge of Swansea.
